Up front wheelchair passenger travel is now more affordable than ever thanks to Sirus, who recently launched the Fiat Qubo UpFront, a wheelchair passenger vehicle with a difference. You no longer have to travel in the rear with the luggage, and can sit comfortably, with no strenuous transfer and actually see what the driver sees! A much more sociable way of traveling.
Kerry Lloyd, who has been affected by MS for 5 years now, has, for the first time since she became a wheelchair user been able to travel in her wheelchair next to her husband, and finally see what he sees. Kerry, from West Bromwich took delivery of her Sirus Wheelchair Passenger Up Front vehicle in December 2012. The vehicle is designed to enable a wheelchair user to enter the vehicle from the rear, manoeuvre all the way into the front of the vehicle to sit next to the driver. the wheelchair can be secured into place safely using a range of wheelchair restraints, both manual or automatic.
Kerry commented on her new vehicle “The discovery of my Sirus car instantly allowed not only me, but my family to regain a huge aspect of our independence we had lost for so long. Suddenly I found I had confidence, social inclusion, self control, happiness and total comfort to mention a few, all this slowly but surely came back to me when I sat upfront in my chair for the first time. My environment has never felt so inviting…New life here we come!”
The Fiat Qubo UpFront is available at just £3490 Motability Advance Payment from 1st January 2013.
